Sunny Jello Drink

I am getting ready this morning to head to the Des Plaines Public Library to do a workshop on Cookbook and Crafting Readers Advisory. I had so much fun collecting information on modern cookbook and craft trends, though many of course had their heyday in vintage times, which I will connect for the audience. I am also bringing Moon Pies!

This is another from the Amazing Magical Jello Desserts. This title has little flip books on the corners – one is a boy eating Jello, the other is a magic trick.

I could use this drink to wake myself up today. It is Sunny Whip, and uses orange Jello, boiling water, and cold orange juice. Add the orange juice when making the Jello. Use a mixer on jelled orange juice until fluffy.

How cute is that little orange decoration? My sisters and I used to mix up the jello and then drink it right then, never bothered to let it “jell.”
