Happy Thanksgiving & Easy Biscuits

My table will not look like this…Happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there reading this in between cooking or getting ready to celebrate. I definitely have a lot to be thankful for including my family and friends. I’m also thankful we are getting the meal catered today as 30+ of my relatives are coming.

This photo is from my 1960′s Complete Holiday Cookbook. The menu for today is scary, and includes Cranberry Ring Mold with Mayonnaise and Smoked Turkey (with liquid smoke). This is more my speed. Enjoy your day!

Diamond Cheese Biscuits

1 cup sharp cheese, grated

1 cup sifted flour

1 stick butter

Mix all ingredients well. Roll as for icebox cookies. (Hmm?) Slice into diagonal shapes; place on baking sheet. Bake in 400 degree oven until done. Yield: 16 biscuits.
