I love the typed cards. This one is from the box I have marked “Recipes of Olivia Hughes Major from 1930s, 40s, and 50s.” This sounds simple and tasty. My Grandma Curtin is known to have done a delicious Sour Cream Raisin Pie and I wonder if it was something like this. I’m interested in the adjustment here here on the sugar, too.
1/4 cup sugar
1 teas. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 cup thick sour cream
1/2 cup seedless raisins
salt
Combine sugar, spices and eggs, add cream raisins and salt. Pour into pie shell bake in hot oven (450F) 10 mins. then (350F) 30 mins. or until custard is set.
